Connect Wells Fargo to Silvia

Follow these steps to find your Wells Fargo account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.

Before You Start

Have your Wells Fargo login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.

  • Use the Wells Fargo sign-in presented by the connection window and complete any security verification requested for your online banking account.
  • Wells Fargo’s connection with Plaid lets you authorize which account information is shared. Review the accounts presented before completing the authorization.

Connect Your Account

  1. Open Your Portfolio in Silvia

    Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.

  2. Find the Right Wells Fargo Listing

    Search for Wells Fargo in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.

  3. Follow the Connection Prompts

    Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by Wells Fargo. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.

  4. Review Access & Select Your Accounts

    Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.

  5. Return to Silvia

    Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.

If You Have Trouble Connecting

  • If Wells Fargo cannot verify your sign-in, first check access directly through Wells Fargo Online or the Wells Fargo Mobile app.
  • If a previously connected account stops updating, review your data-sharing permission at Wells Fargo, then use Reconnect in Silvia if it is shown.
