Connection help
Connect Wealthfront to Silvia
Follow these steps to find your Wealthfront account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.
Before You Start
Have your Wealthfront login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.
- With Wealthfront two-factor verification enabled, use an app-specific password to connect from another app. Wealthfront blocks connections that use your regular password in that situation.
- Sign in to Wealthfront, open the menu under your name, and go to Settings, then Security. Under Link Wealthfront to other apps, choose Generate an app specific password.
- Use the generated password when the connection window asks for your Wealthfront password. Wealthfront describes access through this password as read-only.
Connect Your Account
Open Your Portfolio in Silvia
Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.
Find the Right Wealthfront Listing
Search for Wealthfront in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.
Follow the Connection Prompts
Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by Wealthfront. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.
Review Access & Select Your Accounts
Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.
Return to Silvia
Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.
If You Have Trouble Connecting
- If you lost your app-specific password, delete its entry in Wealthfront’s Security settings and generate a replacement. Deleting a password stops access for the connection using it.
- If a generated password still fails, contact Silvia support with the error shown. If an investment or Cash Account is missing, check which accounts are offered by the selected connection; a Wealthfront listing does not guarantee every account is available.
Ready to Connect?
Open your portfolio, then follow the steps above to search for Wealthfront. You may be asked to sign in first.
