Connection help

Connect Truist to Silvia

Follow these steps to find your Truist account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.

Before You Start

Have your Truist login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.

  • Use the Truist listing and the login you currently use for Truist online banking. Review the account-sharing permissions presented during connection.
  • Truist’s open banking agreement with Plaid provides a way to authorize financial data sharing and manage or revoke connected services.

Connect Your Account

  1. Open Your Portfolio in Silvia

Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.

  2. Find the Right Truist Listing

Search for Truist in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.

  3. Follow the Connection Prompts

Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by Truist. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.

  4. Review Access & Select Your Accounts

Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.

  5. Return to Silvia

Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.

If You Have Trouble Connecting

  • If your login does not work, first confirm access directly at Truist. Use the current credentials for your account when you return to Silvia.
  • If you previously revoked a connection at Truist, it will need authorization again before it can receive new data. Review Truist’s Connected Banking controls and use Reconnect in Silvia when prompted.

Ready to Connect?

Open your portfolio, then follow the steps above to search for Truist. You may be asked to sign in first.
