Connection help

Connect SoFi to Silvia

Follow these steps to find your SoFi account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.

Before You Start

Have your SoFi login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.

  • Search for SoFi and check the accounts presented by the connection provider. Review the banking and investment accounts individually when they are offered.
  • Have the email address and password for your SoFi account ready, along with access to your two-factor authentication method.

Connect Your Account

  1. Open Your Portfolio in Silvia

Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.

  2. Find the Right SoFi Listing

Search for SoFi in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.

  3. Follow the Connection Prompts

Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by SoFi. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.

  4. Review Access & Select Your Accounts

Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.

  5. Return to Silvia

Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.

If You Have Trouble Connecting

  • If a new phone prevents you from completing verification, sign in directly to SoFi first. SoFi’s login recovery guide explains how to verify your identity and update your two-factor authentication method.
  • If you can sign in but a particular SoFi account is not available, contact Silvia support with the account type and the error shown. The listed accounts depend on the connection available to Silvia.

Ready to Connect?

Open your portfolio, then follow the steps above to search for SoFi. You may be asked to sign in first.
