Connection help

Connect PNC to Silvia

Follow these steps to find your PNC account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.

Before You Start

Have your PNC login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.

  • PNC’s secure account-sharing flow asks you to sign in through PNC, verify your identity, and review its data-sharing terms.
  • Select the PNC accounts you want to share before completing authorization. PNC then returns you to the financial app to finish setup.

Connect Your Account

  1. Open Your Portfolio in Silvia

Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.

  2. Find the Right PNC Listing

Search for PNC in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.

  3. Follow the Connection Prompts

Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by PNC. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.

  4. Review Access & Select Your Accounts

Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.

  5. Return to Silvia

Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.

If You Have Trouble Connecting

  • If an account is missing, review Apps with Access in the PNC Mobile app. PNC places this under the Profile icon, then Security; select the relevant app to review its account permissions.
  • PNC may request a fresh sign-in when an existing connection moves to its secure account-sharing service. Use Reconnect in Silvia when shown and complete the PNC prompts.

Ready to Connect?

Open your portfolio, then follow the steps above to search for PNC. You may be asked to sign in first.
