Connection help
Connect Navy Federal Credit Union to Silvia
Follow these steps to find your Navy Federal Credit Union account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.
Before You Start
Have your Navy Federal Credit Union login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.
- Use the Navy Federal username you use for mobile and online banking. Navy Federal distinguishes this username from the Access Number used to identify your membership.
- Keep your contact information up to date at Navy Federal and have your verification method available for the security prompts during connection.
Connect Your Account
Open Your Portfolio in Silvia
Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.
Find the Right Navy Federal Credit Union Listing
Search for Navy Federal Credit Union in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.
Follow the Connection Prompts
Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by Navy Federal Credit Union. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.
Review Access & Select Your Accounts
Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.
Return to Silvia
Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.
If You Have Trouble Connecting
- If you previously signed in with an Access Number but have since created a username, use that username. Navy Federal’s recovery page can help you retrieve your username or reset your password.
- If a banking or card account is not offered, confirm that it is visible when you sign in directly to Navy Federal with the same username. Contact Silvia support if direct access works but the connection does not.
Ready to Connect?
Open your portfolio, then follow the steps above to search for Navy Federal Credit Union. You may be asked to sign in first.
