Connection help
Connect Fidelity to Silvia
Follow these steps to find your Fidelity account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.
Before You Start
Have your Fidelity login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.
- Search for Fidelity and choose the entry that matches your account. Silvia may open a brokerage connection through SnapTrade; follow the provider shown in your connection window.
- Fidelity Access lets you select which accounts to share through Fidelity’s own authorization flow. Review the accounts and permissions before finishing.
Connect Your Account
Open Your Portfolio in Silvia
Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.
Find the Right Fidelity Listing
Search for Fidelity in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.
Follow the Connection Prompts
Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by Fidelity. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.
Review Access & Select Your Accounts
Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.
Return to Silvia
Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.
If You Have Trouble Connecting
- For a workplace retirement account, look for the matching Fidelity NetBenefits entry if it is available. A Fidelity Investments entry may not cover the same accounts.
- If Fidelity is unavailable in the connection window, contact Silvia support. Plaid supports Fidelity, but availability still depends on the connection provider and the app’s access.
- You can review and remove existing authorizations from the data sharing dashboard linked in Fidelity’s official Fidelity Access guide.
Ready to Connect?
Open your portfolio, then follow the steps above to search for Fidelity. You may be asked to sign in first.
