Connect Bank of America to Silvia
Follow these steps to find your Bank of America account in Silvia, authorize a connection, and resolve common setup issues.
Before You Start
Have your Bank of America login and access to your usual verification method ready. Check that you can sign in directly with your institution before starting.
- Complete the Bank of America sign-in and review the accounts and information you are authorizing for sharing.
- Bank of America lists permissions granted through its secure data-sharing connection under Third-party access in its Security Center.
Connect Your Account
Open Your Portfolio in Silvia
Sign in and open Assets & Liabilities (or My Portfolio). Select Banks & Brokerages under Add an Asset. If your page has an Add button, choose Add asset first. On mobile, the + button opens the add options.
Find the Right Bank of America Listing
Search for Bank of America in the Add Account window. Choose the listing that matches your institution and account type. Banking, credit card, brokerage, and workplace accounts may use different listings.
Follow the Connection Prompts
Silvia opens the connection provider for the listing you selected. Follow the sign-in instructions and complete any verification requested by Bank of America. You may be redirected to your institution to authorize access.
Review Access & Select Your Accounts
Review the requested data access, select the accounts you want to share when prompted, and complete the authorization. Available accounts and data depend on your institution and connection provider.
Return to Silvia
Finish the connection flow and return to your portfolio. Allow time for the initial sync, then check that your selected accounts appear. Balances, holdings, and transactions may arrive at different times where available.
If You Have Trouble Connecting
- Bank of America sharing permissions can expire. Use Reconnect in Silvia when prompted to renew your consent.
- If you previously revoked access in Bank of America’s Security Center, start the authorization again from Silvia. The bank directs you back to the connected app to restore consent.
